As a master’s student of the Library and Information Studies program, I am very pleased with city council’s decision to start planning a new library branch. It has been really interesting to follow the developments and I am definitely learning from these close-to-home experiences.
Libraries are real, physical places that serve many functions to their community, and it is important to continue this by providing enough materials and space for all. Libraries are the leaders of technology, providing online resources, and also play a huge role in programs and free workshops.
I am very excited to be learning during these times of change and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
