I would like to respond to Elizabeth Allchin: your account of the history is very interesting, however, some of the most recent happenings are incorrect. The day program was no longer funded by FCSS but was carried on at the expense of the St. Albert 50+ Club for one year. When the club could no longer afford to do this, this particular program was discontinued. Ms. Burnett took on many initiatives including the program for isolated seniors, which had been running concurrently with the day program.
We encourage you to come to our temporary facility in Grandin Plaza. Some of the former participants of the Day Program come there to socialize, have coffee, chat among the other members and staff … the only difference being they are not “organized.”
