Jeff and Lydia Hodgson (Gazette, Aug. 9) need to take a walk in the Sturgeon River valley parkland to understand the strategic, and long-term view that the City of St Albert is taking with the land exchange of Braeside parkland beside 57 Sturgeon Road.
As an avid river valley cyclist and community planner, the addition of segments of #53, #55 and #57 Sturgeon Road to the Sturgeon River valley parkland was an opportunity that jumped out at me 20 years ago. The City of St Albert has the rare opportunity to obtain land that will significantly enhance the river valley parkland area.
