I have never read such a vile piece of trash as written by Michael Ciciarelli and published in the Feb. 19 edition of the St. Albert Gazette.
Who is he to judge the hard working and deserving people who may occupy these homes in the future? To describe them as “people looking for a handout and a free ride” and “for those that have no ambition or skill to better themselves” is not only disgusting but untrue. I have worked alongside these people while they are helping to build their own homes and have heard of their dreams for a better future. These people will be paying their mortgage, property and federal taxes the same as any other citizen. Your rant regarding Mayor Nolan Crouse and council should be good for a libel action in the courts. Be careful what you wish for.
I believe the majority of Akinsdale citizens are disgusted that their community has again been dragged into the gutter by a few misguided people. Your letter pales the comments made by the couple of Kingswood residents last year. Perhaps Ciciarelli should stand in front of a mirror and reflect on what he sees.
