Less speed, less photo radar

Regarding A.J. Smith's letter (Gazette, May31), our condo overlooks Gervais Road so we have a bird's eye view of the road every day. June 1 I was walking across the well-marked crossing at Goodridge at 11 a.m.

Regarding A.J. Smith's letter (Gazette, May31), our condo overlooks Gervais Road so we have a bird's eye view of the road every day. June 1 I was walking across the well-marked crossing at Goodridge at 11 a.m. A Ford family wagon was coming along Gervais well in excess of the 50 km/hr. speed limit. The driver missed me by inches.

One night a vehicle lost control taking the bend at a high speed. The driver lost control, took out two trees, a street light, including the concrete anchor, then destroyed the concrete wall at the entrance to the community.

I could go on detailing incidents that take place such as kids trying to cross, going to and from school. Maybe a traffic light is the answer. Less speed, less photo radar. I'd like to see another traffic light at Goodridge Cr.
