Kudos to Legal, but St. Albert deserves safer skate park

It is awesome to see that Legal is joining a large portion of small towns building skate parks for the up and coming youth.

It is awesome to see that Legal is joining a large portion of small towns building skate parks for the up and coming youth. This sport promotes everything from physical fitness to self perseverance and even a possibility at a professional career, just look at Jamie Tancowny who has done just that after starting off in St. Albert.

It's great to see that the smaller communities are doing something like this although it does lead me to question St. Albert! I have been a skateboarder here since I was five years old and I am now 22 and to this day I cannot understand how one of the top five richest cities in Canada cannot build an updated and safe facility like Westlock, Legal, Leduc, Edmonton, Athabasca, and the list goes on.

The facility we have now has been forgotten about with fence hinges broken and the cement work literally falling apart, proving hazardous for myself and others time and time again and not too mention simply being outdated. Come on, St. Albert! It's time to do your part!
