Kids weren't manipulated into attending March for Life

I attended the March for Life on May 9 because I know that abortion is wrong and I wanted to show my support. An abortion is the intentional killing of an innocent human being, who has no ability to defend themselves.

I attended the March for Life on May 9 because I know that abortion is wrong and I wanted to show my support. An abortion is the intentional killing of an innocent human being, who has no ability to defend themselves. If not me, then who? I personally think that women try to ignore the truth of an abortion. Most women say that they think it’s alright because it’s their body and their choice. That statement does not actually make sense if you think about it. There are actually two bodies, the women and the child. You may think that the infant living inside isn’t an actual human but that doesn’t change the fact that the child has a body. All the way from their soft head to their tiny toes (even if the body isn’t fully developed). Like the youtuber from Choice42 says, instead of “My body, My choice,” it should be “Our bodies, My choice.” Someone is making an unfair decision for two humans. I personally think that it’s selfish. It’s scary and hard, I realize, but that doesn’t mean that there should be an option to run away from problems. An abortion is not only killing the baby but is also bad for a woman's body. I think that abortions are very wrong and hope that people would have the conversion of hearts to realize the truth and cruelty of abortions.

I am the second youngest of six children. I’ve had four siblings that have passed away before birth. They were fully human even though most of them didn't make it through the full nine months. My family and I (and especially God) know that my siblings were human since the moment of conception. Science even proves that argument. The woman has half of the DNA of the child, as well as the man. When they join a NEW INDEPENDENT HUMAN IS FORMED. It’s science.

Luke Fevin’s letter (Gazette, May 29) was very saddening to me. He says the children (12-year-olds) were being manipulated and said that they were sent home a form to sign to go on the field trip. Well, I think that he is going against his own word. You see, if the children were given a form to bring home and sign – which they were – means that they could not have been manipulated because they have the choice, the option, to go. It’s up to them and their parents whether they would like to attend or not. Therefore, they clearly weren’t manipulated.
