May I add my voice of support to that of Denise van Domselaar for your recent letter (“Vaccines cause more harm than measles,” Gazette, Saturday, May 3) regarding measles vaccinations?

When I too read the front page headlines urging us to run to our nearest GP and get the vaccination to fight off this treacherous disease, I thought the same thought as Ms. Van Domselaar ... what in the world for?

Is this the new pandemic scourge that will wipe out millions of our precious children?

No! It's only the measles for heaven’s sake!

I for one am not following the AHS pied pipers’ tune every time they blow their horn. I refuse to join the throng of human lemmings that crash the doors down of our health facilities because the AHS has set forth the proclamation from above.

Don't get me started on the issue of vaccinations in general. Like many others, I too have my personal view on this whole agenda.

It breaks my heart to see anyone suffer and die needlessly. It’s tragic to see even one little one taken from us prematurely. But let me be clear: I believe that the so-called vaccine remedies have inflicted by far more harmful repercussions to our children than we truly realize. That is for another discussion.

We must stop this rotating diet of jumping out of fear that something tragic will happen every time AHS cries wolf.
