Intersection is backwards

I'll start on a positive note and thank the City of St Albert for finally putting a three-way stop at Erin Ridge Drive and Erin Ridge Road.

I'll start on a positive note and thank the City of St Albert for finally putting a three-way stop at Erin Ridge Drive and Erin Ridge Road. Thank you! I can't tell you the number of times I've witnessed a near miss with vehicle collisions or pedestrians being hit, myself included.

My only issue with this new traffic control is the arrangement of the stop. I don't feel there is a need for a right turn lane from Erin Ridge Drive onto Erin Ridge Road – that being said there is a need for a left turn lane from Erin Ridge Drive onto Erin Ridge Road. The configuration of this intersection is backwards, to say the least. You have successfully removed about eight to 10 parking spots and made it near impossible for a bus or large vehicle to get by the cars that are parked on Erin Ridge Drive. I don't know what the thinking was behind this, but if you drive through there you'll see how messed up it is.
