If I was mayor, I would plant more seeds to promote the botanical gardens along Sturgeon Road. Would support the dedicated volunteers of this under-recognized delight and highlight these gardens as a central attraction for visitors to our city.
Grow the gardens in bloom event so St. Albert becomes a national leader, resulting in bus tours of tourists eager to enjoy our neighbours’ blooming front yards.
Imagine 150 tree-sculptures in St. Albert! Why not an annual tree-sculpture competition and festival as a tie-in with our majestic botanical gardens and multiple and ever-changing gardens in bloom?
There’s a huge difference between talking about a reputed botanical city and being a botanical city.
