Hoping Good Samaritan found son's iPhone

On Monday, Jan. 17 at approx 3:30 p.m. my son parked his van in the front row, first stall at Save-On-Foods, between the entrance to Save-On-Foods and the flower shop next to it. He took his cellphone from his back pocket before getting into the van.

On Monday, Jan. 17 at approx 3:30 p.m. my son parked his van in the front row, first stall at Save-On-Foods, between the entrance to Save-On-Foods and the flower shop next to it.

He took his cellphone from his back pocket before getting into the van. About an hour later, he went to use his phone and could not find it. After searching everywhere in the van and at home, it appears he must have dropped it in the parking lot. He has checked with Save-On-Foods and the flower shop but the phone had not been turned in at either location. Someone must have found it because within the next hour, the phone would go immediately to voicemail, which means it had been turned off or damaged.

The phone is an iPhone 3GS, eight gigabytes, in a black case. If you have located this phone and do not know how to reach the owner, please contact me at 780-458-8807 and we will gladly pick it up with much appreciation as it was only purchased in the fall and it will be another year before he can get an upgrade or he will have to pay over $500 to replace the phone or $499 to cancel his contract with Rogers.

I have tried to assure my son that it is more than likely an honest person may have found the phone on the ground and does not know how to contact the owner. I am hoping this is the case.

Hoping to hear from a Good Samaritan soon, thanks.
