Green space is gone forever

Enough already. Kristy Fulton. You seem to miss Michael Ciciarelli's point entirely. In addition you do a disservice to St. Albert by implying we are snobbish and against low-income housing. This is not true.

In addition you do a disservice to St. Albert by implying we are snobbish and against low-income housing. This is not true. I (and I believe Ciciarelli) support the balanced development of lower income housing so that diversity is distributed throughout St. Albert. I am opposed to establishing one area — Akinsdale — as a de facto low-income area. Any removal of a green area in an older area should be resisted because you will never get it back.

I am thankful that many outside Akinsdale support this position. They are good neighbours.

Perhaps your memories of diversity within St. Albert were because we welcomed all into every neighbourhood. This is the St. Albert I want.

Wayne Richardson, St. Albert
