I would like to send a huge thank you to a local cancer support society that recently helped out my wife and I.
I am a 44-year-old man battling terminal cancer and my wife has progressive multiple sclerosis. With both of us not able to work things can get tough and paying the bills not always easy. As my health is often not great, I cannot always do my yard work either. My neighbours have been outstanding in helping us and I want to give them a huge thank you for your support.
One of those great neighbours told the Haying In The 30s Cancer Support Society about our situation and we received a very generous donation. While family and friends have of course helped tremendously, they can only help so much. This society is one of many that do great work in helping lighten the load and doing great work in our community. Thank you so much to them (and the neighbour who contacted them).
