I wholeheartedly agree with Steve Zenert and Chris Makris that the bike helmet bylaw should be revisited and adjusted to give a choice to St. Albert adult bike riders.

Its time St. Albert gets on board with Europeans and the rest of our country and reduces barriers to encourage more ridership.

We all know the great benefits that exercise and a little sunshine gives to persons of all ages. Sometimes good intentions backfire, and actually keep more people glued to the couch instead of taking a leisurely bike ride in their neighbourhood.

St. Albert adults should be given the opportunity to make an informed choice on this issue.
