Gazette should not support illegal activity

If a picture is worth a thousand words then your apology should make for interesting reading. Page three of the Feb.

If a picture is worth a thousand words then your apology should make for interesting reading.

Page three of the Feb. 6 edition of the Gazette contained a colour photo of two ATV riders on the Sturgeon River along with a caption supporting the activity. The photographer was just doing their job.

However, is it not the mandate of the Gazette to know or at least support the bylaws of both St. Albert and Sturgeon County? Over the years the Gazette has reported the bylaws and discussions surrounding them. It well knows that the use of off road vehicles of any sort are not permitted in the designated areas of the river valley and that as a voice and leader of the community the Gazette must help to remind citizens that this is not an acceptable activity.
