I am writing to talk about Ecole Alexandre-Tache, the Francophone school established in the Erin Ridge neighbourhood. This facility sits gracefully back from the street, beautifully landscaped, looking as if it had been there for years. There is ample parking, and a bus drive-through lane. Despite the raucous opposition to this school from some, parking and traffic seems little effected by its presence. There is more street parking further north on Erin Ridge Drive now, but this is directly connected to the hospital and seniors' facilities to the south. An unexpected benefit has been a slight moderation of speeding further north on Erin Ridge Drive, a consequence of the school zone and its intermittent enforcement.
