Actual transcript from future 911 call after City passes another brilliant bylaw restricting smokers in St Albert.

911 Operator: “911, what is your emergency?”

Caller: “Yes hello! It’s 5 a.m.! I’m calling from St. Albert! There’s a man in the park across the street that is playing fetch with his dog! OFF-LEASH!! I can’t be certain, but I don’t see him carrying any poop bags, so approach with caution!! Also, in his hand is what appears to be a lit cigarette!! I want this man shot! However, please do it quietly as Bylaw 31/2006 clearly states that quiet hours are between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.”

911 Operator: “Thank you ma'am, the police are on their way, but there may be a bit of a delay, as they can only go 40 km/hr in your neighborhood.”
