I have read the many letters about the RCMP vs. Cooper debate inside last week’s paper.
It would be nice if the citizens, who are so quick to take a side in this debate, would take a moment to allow the judicial process to work. I, for one, would like an opportunity to hear or read the sworn testimony of all those involved.
Perhaps once the citizens have both sides of the story they will have an opportunity to make an informed decision as to which side should be held responsible for the unfortunate events. I don't know where blame should be assigned but, as a citizen of this city and a believer in our judicial system, I would at least like the opportunity to hear the other side of the story before I run the RCMP out of town on a rail.
