This email is in response to the carbon tax rebates delivered by Environment Minister Shannon Phillips and Energy Efficiency Alberta chair David Dodge. I am responding on these issues for my associates and me. Ms. Phillips and Mr. Dodge are referring to rebates on particular items, plus free installs of energy efficient toys etc. When you have these specialty, cost-reducing toys your monthly cost will increase. Why? I am a shareholder or I need X amount of taxpayers dollars it will remain the same not decrease. Been there done that.

I saw nothing in that release that will actually improve the environment. I personally promoted that rebates could be provided to the Alberta taxpayer for oil changes that would reduce greenhouse gases by 50 per cent and save the taxpayer personally money by having not purchase so much fuel.

I also put forward my associates’ development that would reduce greenhouse gases by 30 per cent on industrial heating. To keep this short many other of my associates’ ideas were put forth that could be implemented and provide jobs involving new technology. The ideas included making ethanol (alcohol) from the existing carbon dioxide around us. To Mr. Dodge and Ms. Phillips kudos for trying, but you are not there yet.
