'Do as I say not as I do'

The article on Coun. Russell's intent to revisit the roadway debacle between St. Anne and TachĂ© St. once again brings up the question of the mayor’s and council’s spending. It is budgeted at $4.18 million.

The article on Coun. Russell's intent to revisit the roadway debacle between St. Anne and TachĂ© St. once again brings up the question of the mayor’s and council’s spending. It is budgeted at $4.18 million. Was this before or after it was found to be located on a bog and tons of gravel and sand had to be trucked in. Some engineer did not do their job there. The city at this point cannot provide an amount already spent. Is this promenade going to end up being a white elephant the same as Servus Place. A run-over budget project that once again will add another “lil” extra to our already exorbitant taxes. The only thing that remains the same is the consistent practice of our city officials “professionally managing” our tax dollars in a way that defies common sense. The impression given is do as I say not as I do when questions are asked. Not in this lifetime, you are accountable for your actions.
