Cyclists, please use your bells around pedestrians

Cyclists, use your bell. On many a Sunday morning, my friends and I get together for a walk on our beautiful Red Willow Trail.

Cyclists, use your bell. On many a Sunday morning, my friends and I get together for a walk on our beautiful Red Willow Trail. And unfortunately, on many occasions, we have been startled and nearly clipped by cyclists who, for some reason, refuse to use their bell, or even worse, don’t have one. Make it easy on everybody and give us a ring, as is the law.

Yes, I’m a cyclist too and always use my bell well in advance. A lot of people thank my husband and me when we pass them.

As for the pedestrians who wear earbuds while on the path: I hope you hear my bell!
