I was extremely disappointed with the St. Albert city council decision (6 to 1) to fund a storefront library.
The plebiscite was an overwhelming no for the branch library. What doesn't council understand about the word “no”?
Their assertions they had difficulty interpreting the plebiscite results is hogwash – no means no!
They continue to cater to special interest groups and ignore the majority.
How could council possibly get this one wrong when the electorate handed them the decision in the plebiscite? It leads me to question how well council is representing the majority on other civic matters, if at all.
Council needs to get their head out of the clouds or they will find themselves on the sidelines next election.
