Council needs to rethink changes to anti-idling bylaw

Regarding changes to St. Albert’s idling bylaw, what is our city council thinking? Or are they thinking at all? Where are their priorities? For some reason they remove the exemption for school buses but leave transit buses exempt.

For some reason they remove the exemption for school buses but leave transit buses exempt. Frankly, idling transit buses is not the real problem. I invite anyone to stand on any bus route in the city during almost any hour of the day. See how may buses pass by with ZERO or near-zero passengers on them.

It almost seems that one of the main purposes of our transit system is to allow drivers to drive leisurely around the city spewing diesel fumes into the air.

And they think keeping students warm is a problem. Ridiculous!
