Facebook friend request accepted! I am looking forward to the city joining social media and engaging its residents in fresh ways.
There is so much potential for our municipality to encourage its new and long-time residents to participate in events, voice ideas and connect with councillors. Facebook can also be a successful communications tool for reaching out to the generation of youth who are imaginative and determined to make a difference in their community.
I am also thrilled to read that the city will introduce a variety of other communications tools, including more opportunities to speak at council meetings, a series of town hall meetings and an annual state of environment address.
Let's keep St. Albert's environment healthy and its citizens inspired!
