City council more guilty of arrogance than ignorance

I think that City of St. Albert, mayor and city council are still having a problem with the concept of "transparency."  Classifying an in camera session on city council pay as "labour" is more arrogance than ignorance. It also appears to be a deliberate deception. My faith in the credibility of the mayor and city council is now very fragile.

Councillors would be wise to think for themselves instead of sheep-like following the mayor. They can go to the Municipal Affairs website and better learn about in-camera meetings; also read the document "Continuing the Conversation" which deals with changes to the Municipal Government Act (MGA) which are in effect later in 2018. The MGA will have more "teeth", including court actions for some enforcements.
