I think the city can do better when it comes to recycling. It's recommended by a city employee to use plastic grocery bags for garbage can liners or for picking up dog messes. Really? Then they end up in landfill!
Plastic grocery bags can be recycled at many local grocery stores and there are biodegradable bags for your dog. Plastic noodles? Like the Styrofoam meat trays or other Styrofoam containers, they can be recycled.
London Drugs takes many things our city will not, as will Edmonton Eco-centres. St. Albert needs to step up and make recycling easier for taxpayers.
