My family and myself are truly disappointed in the new changes to the blue bag recycling program ... it makes NO SENSE at all that we now have to throw the plastic clamshell containers, plastic bags and glass jars etc. into the garbage to go into the the landfill. We thought that the recycling program was for the sole purpose of keeping this stuff out of the landfill!
How come the big grocery/box stores, etc., are NOT doing their part to change the packaging containers, etc., so that they may be once again recycled? Is there not some entrepreneurs/companies out there that can build a facility that can reuse these products or be shipped out to be made into something new or renewable?
There is already too much stuff going into the landfill. We have been doing our part, but lately it really seems useless to recycle. So why bother?
