Carbon Dioxide has benefits

Perhaps something that more climate change enthusiasts should pay attention to is the over-hype that CO2 is categorically to blame for the (perceived) warming of the Earth.

As probably everyone is aware, CO2 is essential for all plant growth. This seems to be overlooked by those who somehow seek to limit and curtail CO2 emissions. A study conducted by the Global Warming Policy Foundation shows "productivity of global ecosystems has increased" and "all vegetation systems have greened, including tropical rain and other forests, grasslands, etc."

Apparently CO2 is good for agricultural production as well, as figures cited in a 2013 study from the Center for the Study of Carbon Dioxide and Global Change, which estimated the value of atmospheric CO2 enrichment "increased from $18.5 Billion in 1961 to over $140 Billion by 2001.

It's a shame that in spite of stats like these, we have an agenda-driven provincial government initiating programs the result of which will surely see an ever increasing cost of living in our province, as a result of so called greenhouse gas taxes, higher electricity costs, etc.
