I drove down Perron Street recently and was disturbed to see our Canadian flag in very sad shape. It is filthy and in generally pathetic condition. This is in front of our community hall on our main street.
Canada Day is nearly here and I think it is time we pay respect to our flag.
The City would like our citizens to fly our flag, so I think it is only right that the City lead the way and proudly keep our flags in proper condition.
I was filled with pride to see our beautiful flag flying to welcome the people back to Ft. McMurray. It was a sight I will remember for a long time.
Please let us show pride and respect for our flag that so many have fought under, including my father.
