In response to the letter from Ken Johnson (Gazette, Jan. 20) I should point out that I do live in Braeside but I am not a member of the “Braeside centric friends of the St. Albert River Valley." I do walk along the river valley several times a week so Mr. Johnson would doubtless classify me as a NIMBY-ist.
However, before he puts down Matt Wheatley’s analysis as: "the only reality is apparently the observed location of a muskrat in Braeside several decades ago," I would suggest Mr. Johnson visit the locale. There is ample recent evidence of vigorous beaver activity on the south riparian region west of the Boudreau bridge, and muskrats are plentiful.
