Blowing whistle for safety

I read all the talking about “noise” and “train whistles” and the push to cease their operation.

I read all the talking about “noise” and “train whistles” and the push to cease their operation. When train travel was first designed and all important factors taken into consideration, it was determined that it had to be safe.

Therefore, for “safety” purposes, the train whistle was implemented to make everyone aware that a train is approaching a railroad crossing, so be prepared to slow down and stop. What may be wrong with that? The conductor sounds the whistle for that purpose. It is not forever that the whistle stays on. Yes, trains are heavy, they are loud and noisy, but so are cars, motorbikes, trucks, airplanes, animals, birds and people.

We should be thankful for those who are ever mindful for our safety, and appreciate what we have.

Please, let us turn our attention to matters of great importance.
