Aurora Place development not wanted in Akinsdale

Being one of only a few houses that this Aurora Place directly affects, I for one am against it and all it stands for.

What does it stand for? People looking for a handout and a free ride while the majority of society takes it on the chin every time while some city, town or federal elected official (voted in by the majority) want to feel better about themselves for all the lying and self benefiting that they do.

I had no leg up or special treatment or a mortgage that reflected my wages. I make my payment and bought where I could afford, and still I pay for those that have no ambition or skill to better themselves while I pay my extremely high property taxes and my staggering federal tax. But what are my options?

I’m also really tired of councillors and Habitat for Humanity execs telling us how I should feel about having no say in what happens in my backyard; also, the nerve of them now to ask for volunteers.

Mayor Nolan Crouse and council: you two-faced lowdown dirty stereotypical politicians, thanks for nothing; I wish you all the worst. I appreciate being blind sided, that you have totally disregarded the democratic process and are doing what suits you and your inside circle. Karma is a bitch, and you will all get what you deserve.
