Thank you Scott Hayes (Gazette, March 9) for that amazing tribute to the memory of Elke Blodgett.
She was St. Albert's very own Rachel Carson (Silent Spring). She reminded us all of the web of life (Mother Nature) and how human beings are merely a strand in it. What we do to the web, we do to our wildlife and ultimately to ourselves.
We will never forget Elke and her crusade to protect the wetlands. We will miss her.
