In the letter to the editor (Gazette, Feb. 18) titled “Balancing needs with the ability to pay,” I stated that the Mayor (Nolan Crouse) said our population growth is well below regional averages because of our high property taxes.
Mr. Crouse did not say that. I misread the recent Gazette interviews. I apologize to him, and stand corrected.
