Another utility fee!

Once again the mayor and city council agree to add another fee to our already sky high and unaffordable utility bill. I do not agree with paying ahead for a service or repair that I may never see or ever be done.

Once again the mayor and city council agree to add another fee to our already sky high and unaffordable utility bill. I do not agree with paying ahead for a service or repair that I may never see or ever be done. Council is also famous for redirecting these funds for use on other things. That is a definite “no” in my books. If you build things and can’t maintain them or afford them, such as Servus Place, perhaps they shouldn’t have been built. We have an additional tax charge on our property tax every year for that mistake.

Utilities charges are getting unreasonable and difficult for a lot of people to pay. Not every one in St Albert is independently wealthy. In my opinion, council and the mayor have failed again, why not concentrate on saving the taxpayer some money for a change instead of turning this suburb into what you think is the Louvre, which, by the way, it isn’t!
