Angle parking the way to go

Thumbs up for angle parking. Has anyone noticed there is no parking downtown. It’s hard to believe that in a smaller community like St. Albert, we would have a downtown parking issue.

Thumbs up for angle parking. Has anyone noticed there is no parking downtown. It’s hard to believe that in a smaller community like St. Albert, we would have a downtown parking issue. I like the suggestion for angle parking on Perron Street – we need the parking spaces. There is too much fast-flowing traffic in the downtown and downtown business would rejoice over more parking spots.

While we are adding angle parking on Perron, let’s add angle parking on St. Anne Street as well. First we would have to get rid of that dysfunctional St. Anne Street median. The median serves no purpose and it’s not beautiful. Again, merchants – and for that matter, farmers’ market attendees – would welcome removal of the median.

Maybe it’s also time to move city administration out of the downtown and free up lots of parking for shoppers and visitors to the library.
