RE: Communication problem at city hall, St. Albert Gazette, Wednesday Nov. 3:
We are wondering just what steps Mayor Nolan Crouse has taken to review the Arlington Drive situation and when he will make his decision known? Furthermore, is Big Lake Pointe the only project required “at this point” to meet the need for affordable housing in St. Albert? Or perhaps he's hoping that we'd all simply forgive and forget?
With respect to how city hall communicates with residents, when will he “… gut what we do and change it?”
Mayor Crouse has stated, “If I’ve learned anything it’s the need that people have to make sure that their cause or their issue is important,” and “... I have to be able to, as a mayor, demonstrate my support of that community group or that initiative.”
The residents of Akinsdale and other underutilized properties in older neighbourhoods are waiting patiently for answers.
