With so many people expressing their opinions on the provincial election results, I shall add mine. Personally, I am mourning the loss of the PCs as our governing party. I take exception to the pundits who are engaged in vilifying the past 44 years of good, albeit not perfect, government by the Progressive Conservatives. Yes, mistakes were made, but there is no reason to believe that corruption ruled. It did not.
Locally, I believe we owe a vote of thanks to Stephen Khan for his energetic, honest and significant representation from our community. As our MLA, Stephen treated everyone with respect and provided wise direction in policy for the greater good. He made things happen for us while working co-operatively with other jurisdictions. As minister of Service Alberta, Honourable Khan led with insight, integrity and personal responsiveness to the needs of Albertans.
