A near mishap

I would like to draw attention to the unsafe driving habits of drivers, at least on school buses. On Nov. 14, at around 8 a.m., I was travelling with my kids to drop them off at their daycare. I was in the east lane on Giroux Road.

I would like to draw attention to the unsafe driving habits of drivers, at least on school buses. On Nov. 14, at around 8 a.m., I was travelling with my kids to drop them off at their daycare. I was in the east lane on Giroux Road. Near Bellerose High School, I saw a small yellow school bus that was exiting from the school and unexpectedly decided to cross the road to enter on my side of the lane as I was in the left lane. The driver of the bus, without checking, entered my lane and was about to hit my truck right in the middle. Sensing that he is going to ram into my vehicle, I increased the speed and swerved a little bit to give enough clearance for me to get out of his misadventure.

The driver should've checked and observed before crossing the road. Since my kids also travel to school using this transportation company, seeing this kind of attitude and driving from a driver of a school bus has raised flags and generated concern.

Thank you for your support in making our roads safer to commute especially for the kids.
