My wife, Lois Love, of 40 years has recently retired from the baby room of a local day care. With Valentine’s Day approaching I and my adult children wanted to let her and everyone know how proud we are of her work and contribution to helping raise so many of St. Albert's children over the past 20 years.
We don't know how she did it: A smile every day when she came home after a day of, sometimes, more than six babies, all teething.
It is physically hard work with the constant lifting of "babies" up to 19 months into and out of cribs, up and down from the change table, and on and off toys.
At the end of some weeks, her hands were very sore from the constant washing between diaper changes, wiping noses and generally ensuring no germ transfers.
We all love you so much. Thank-you and congratulations on your well deserved retirement.
