We are wanting to say a very special thank you to a lady who donated a $50 gift certificate to my daughter. My daughter had just arrived in St. Albert after mandatory evacuation from the Fort McMurray fires.
After working as a police officer for several shifts at the fires in Fort McMurray she arrived at my home on Thursday, May 5, tired, hungry and exhausted. She went to Reitman’s to purchase a change of clothing for her and her daughter. This generous offer emoted tears, much emotion and complete gratitude, what a gesture of outstanding kindness and I know we are not the only ones.
Thank you to so many people for their concerns, phone calls and thoughtfulness. Thank you for the donation centre and the school system, both my grandchildren will be in school to finish their school year.
