Thanks for keeping us informed

I've lived in St. Albert since 1985. For 10 years in the 1970s - 1980s I was a journalist at the Winnipeg Free Press and Winnipeg Tribune. I spent five years reporting on Manitoba and Winnipeg politics.

I've lived in St. Albert since 1985. For 10 years in the 1970s - 1980s I was a journalist at the Winnipeg Free Press and Winnipeg Tribune. I spent five years reporting on Manitoba and Winnipeg politics. Again, this municipal election demonstrated how fortunate and well-served St. Albert residents are by the Gazette. For voters who wanted to make an informed decision, the Gazette was the go-to resource. Not Facebook. Not Twitter. Etc. (Candidates' pamphlets were welcomed; roadside signs were a visual distraction, albeit being a recognized tactic.) Moreover, the Gazette's commitment to informing its readership and to creating a sense of community are evident in every issue, 52 weeks of the year. Ronald Kustra, St. Albert
