Tim Shoults

Born in Edmonton and raised in St. Albert, Calgary and Edmonton, Tim started as a reporter at the Jasper Booster in 1997 and has served as editor, publisher, regional manager and vice-president of content and audience development of community weekly and daily newspapers across Western Canada prior to coming back to his native Alberta and Great West.

Tim has served the media industry on the boards of the BC and Yukon Community NewsMedia Association (BCYCNA), the Canadian Community Newspapers Association, the BC Press Council and the National NewsMedia Council of Canada. He has also served the communities he has lived in on several boards, including Rotary Clubs, Chambers of Commerce and university and hospital foundations. He is a past president of the BCYCNA, the Rotary Club of Kamloops and the Kamloops and District Chamber of Commerce.

Tim has a Bachelor of Arts in Canadian Studies from the University of Alberta’s Faculté Saint-Jean, a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Thompson Rivers University (TRU) and a Master of Business Administration, also from TRU.
