EWYN (Exactly What You Need) Weight Loss Studios helps clients achieve their personal weight loss goals through diet plans, Canadian-made products; and coaching. The Canadian-based company launched in 2015 and has grown to more than 50 locations nationwide. Crystal Mueller is the owner/operator and a health coach at EWYN Weight Loss Studios St. Albert.
Mueller discusses why she opened a St. Albert franchise location.
“I struggled with my weight many for years. At my heaviest I was about 180 pounds. I tried numerous diets and would lose around 10-15 pounds, but nothing worked long-term.”
Her world changed in 2020, and not just because of COVID.
“In 2020,” she continues, “COVID happened but also my husband of 31 years was diagnosed with cancer. Everything spiraled from there. I was a mess emotionally, physically and mentally.
“One day I was scrolling on my phone and saw a Facebook ad for EWYN Weight Loss Studios. I had never heard of this program and there was not much information on the site. I gave it some thought and decided to book a free consultation. Well, I am glad I did!
“On October 31, 2021, I joined and have never looked back. I went from eating once a day to eating three meals a day plus a snack. I eat real grocery store foods that I love. It has now been just a little over a year since I reached my goal weight and I have kept the weight off! I have never been happier.”
That was not the only turnaround in Mueller’s life. As she went through her weight loss journey, her husband went into remission.
“I started thinking about looking into franchising to help others with their journeys. One thing led to another and on March 14 we celebrate our first year in business!” she says with excitement. “Having support is so important when losing weight. For a lot of us it is very hard work and very personal. It can be very emotional at times. Being able to talk about our struggles, knowing that someone else has gone through it – EWYN provided that for me. The studio was so welcoming and I was not afraid to be myself. That is what kept me motivated and accountable.”
She looks forward to helping others achieve success with this type of support and welcoming atmosphere.
“I love being a part of my clients’ journeys, helping them hit their milestones and reach their goals. Watching their transformations to a healthier lifestyle is so rewarding,” says Mueller.
Looking back on her journey and looking ahead to helping people achieve their goals makes Mueller smile. She says, “I would like to thank Dean and Jennifer Esser, Donna Lynn Stewart and most of all my family and all of our clients for all their support in making this possible. I am growing our clientele and down the road, would love to open another location.”
