On Aug. 8, my wife Bev and I were enjoying an anniversary breakfast at the Toast restaurant when the waitress, whom we knew, asked what we were doing for the weekend. My wife replied that this was our 57th wedding anniversary.
A while later, a young man who had been sitting at the table next to us with his lady friend stopped by our table on their way out and placed a receipt for our breakfast on the table and wished us a happy anniversary.
What a wonderful surprise. We would like to acknowledge and thank the young couple for this kind gesture. This is a example that the world is full of nice people and especially in St. Albert.
