Addicts are People too

What the RCMP did to a 16 year old St. Albert boy suffering from autism was awful. The “Karen” who called police, the RCMP, and entire system thought they were only dealing with a drug addict. Somehow that makes mistreatment OK.

Autism, addiction, cancer, etc are all illnesses.  We are outraged that a person with autism is treated as an addict.  That should not be what this is all about.  No human being, regardless of their illness or state of life should be mistreated by police.  Period.

Whether one suffers autism, addiction, homelessness, or anything else, they should be allowed to walk the street without being arrested.
