In Loving Memory of

Gerald Alphonse Joseph Boisjoli

May 27, 1945 - May 17, 2025

With grief in our hearts and lives we announce that

Gerry Boisjoli went to meet his wife and best friend on

May 17, 2025 at the age of 79 years.

Gerry, formerly of Barrhead, leaves behind his daughter Loreen Gomes, son-in-law and

best friend Mike, grandchildren Talia, Teagan and Tanner. All of whom feel blessed to

have been gifted an extra eight months to share in his sadness, laughter and joy before

he was called to his true love Elaine who passed away on Sept. 18, 2024. Also there to

greet him in Heaven were his dad and mom Raoul and Alice Boisjoli, his in-laws Peter

and Elsie Oskoboiny and brother-in-law Gary Oskoboiny.

His family, of St. Albert, will continue to carry on his legacy and memories.

He is survived by his siblings Jeanette (Rosaire) Tremblay, Suzanne (Bill) Sawchuk, Diane

(Lionel) Aminot, Claude (Aline), Dorothee Davies, Louis (Huguette), Marc (Bonnie), Yves

(Carolyn), Lucien (Louise), Gilles, Valerie (Ray) Saindon, Emilie (Scott) Delf. Along with

his brother-in-law Danny (Vi) Oskoboiny.

Gerry…

Loved life, endlessly optimistic and grateful for every moment.

A devout Catholic and proud Knight of Columbus.

Loved summer sunshine, relaxing at the lake and took pride in his yard.

Best friends with Loreen and Mike, but it was Talia, Teagan and Tanner that brought him

true joy.

Loved country music, his annual holiday at Big Valley Jamboree and CFCW constantly

playing in the background.

He was always fun to be around, finding happiness in making others smile and lighting

up when he saw a

smile on the face of those he loved.

He delighted in occasions and celebrations, the highlight being Christmas with family

where he could occasionally be seen dressing up as Santa.

He cherished moments spent with the people he loved most, often gathered

around a good steak dinner cooked by Mike.

Everyday, he felt the absence of his soulmate, source of happiness (and his favourite

cook). He couldn’t wait to be reunited with her in the special spot she saved for him in

Heaven.

A great Son, a super Husband, fantastic Dad, caring Brother and Uncle, extraordinary

Papa and Friend.

At his request in lieu of a celebration of life, the family asks that you remember him in

prayer with joy and loving hearts. They would greatly appreciate it if you would share your

memories or thoughts of Gerry in his tribute book… https://www.connellymckinley.
