Norman David Belcourt, beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 83 at the Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton on March 24, 2025. Norman was born April 20, 1941 in Edmonton, Alberta.

Norman worked as a heavy equipment operator with North American Construction for over 30 years and was a long-standing member of Local 955 Union. Norman’s work took him to many places from Dawson Creek to the Northwest Territories. Although he hated being away from his home and family, he enjoyed his work and the people he worked with.

Norman enjoyed time at the farm and going to auctions and rodeos with his brother Louie. Norman had a great love for watching the Edmonton Oilers and the Toronto Blue Jays. On a nice day, you would often catch Norman sitting outside feeding his ”pet” cat and rabbit that often came by for a treat.

Norman was always there to help his friends and family. He was admired by all for his never-ending commitment and will be missed dearly by all.

Norman leaves behind his wife Isabelle and 5 children, Diane (Rocky), Eva, Joe (Angie), Joanne (Russell) and Heather, 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, brother Doug (Chantel), sister Laura (Roy), sister-in-law Jacqueline and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held at the family’s request.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Norman’s name to the Cross Cancer Society.
