WHL Roundup: Dach, Szturc-led Rockets defeat Silvertips 5-2

EVERETT, Wash. — Colton Dach and Gabriel Szturc each scored two goals as the Kelowna Rockets defeated the Everett Silvertips 5-2 on Sunday.

It is the second time Kelowna has topped Everett since Nov. 25, with the Rockets winning the previous matchup 4-2 on the road as well.

Max Graham added the other goal for Kelowna (10-12-2). Jari Kykkanen made 44 saves.

Ben Hemmerling and Ryan Hofer replied for Everett (14-10-1). Braden Holt stopped 23-of-27 shots.

CALGARY — Carter Yakemchuk scored the winning goal and insurance marker as Calgary (13-7-3-1) came on late to defeat Moose Jaw (18-10-0). Tied at 3-3 entering the third, Yakemchuk netted the winner at 7:55 of the frame and the second at 10:08, both on the power play.
