TORONTO — CIBC says Laura Dottori-Attanasio, senior executive vice-president and group head for Canadian personal and business banking, is retiring.

Dottori-Attanasio's last day at the bank is Feb. 1 and comes after 14 years at CIBC and more than two decades in financial services.

She had been CIBC's chief risk officer before taking on her current role.

CIBC CEO Victor Dodig says Dottori-Attanasio leaves a lasting legacy at the bank and wished her the best in her future endeavours.

The bank says Jon Hountalas, group head for Canadian commercial banking and wealth management, will take on the leadership of the personal and business banking operations as he becomes senior executive vice-president and group head for Canadian banking.

Hountalas joined CIBC in 2010 and has held progressively senior roles, including leading business banking and corporate banking.
